Band Stand Nainital made by Jim Corbett, Edward James Corbett was a British hunter and tracker-turned-conservationist, author and naturalist, who hunted a large number of man-eating tigers and leopards in India. when he was Municipal Board member. He made this band stand from his personal money, which was 4000 Rs.

In the decades of seventies every summer by 6 PM – 7 PM people gathered and for famous band which played from Band Stand & Mr. Ram Singh was the main hero of this band (Ram Singh Band), he used to play patriotic Songs, Filmi & Kumaoni songs as well, people has craze for this melodies, and still miss those days.
