Mahesh Khan Forest Rest House (Mahesh Khan FRH) is located near Bhowali in Nainital. It is about 21 km away from Nainital city and 40 km away from Haldwani at an elevation of 2085 m. It is located about 5 km inside the dense forest on Bhowali – Ramgarh road.

One haunting tune that he composed here was that of the song “it’s your company that he built a house for himself and called it ‘Himanti Parisar’ which was later called Tagore Tap. Indian poetess Mahadevi Verma too has her house which has been converted into a museum.
