Sariyatal Lake | Nainital

Sariyatal is situated about 6 kms away from Nainital on the way to Kaladhungi, Sariyatal Lake is an artificial lake constructed to develop a small lake and a beautiful tourist spot. Sariyatal is a beautiful place to enjoy with your family and friends in solitude enjoying the beauty of nature. It is also popular for the Himalayan botanical garden which is a research center other than being a herbarium and a butterfly park. The tiny lake has numerous activities like paddle boating and water sports.  Hiding a steep waterfall at the corner, Sariyatal is an ideal spot for solitude seekers, nature lovers and photographers.

Himalayan Botanical Garden is located just outside near Nainital, the lake city of Uttarakhand in the Himalayas. This garden, extending to an area of 30 hectares has a collection of several native plant species, many of which are rare and endangered. The major attractions include an herbarium, orchidarium, fernatum, Thunia alba orchid, geodesic dome, waterfalls etc. The entry ticket is Rs. 20. The botanic garden is run by the Uttarakhand Forest Department. It is a very good Eco Tourism Destination.This is a unique project in Uttarakhand which has used reclaimed and degraded land for providing awareness on Himalayan environment.

How To Reach Sariyatal :-

Sariyatal is well connected by roadways and local taxis. If you are travelling to Nainital by Kaladhungi Road its around 26 Km on the way to Nainital and 6 Km from Nainital on the way to Kaladhungi.
